Recruitment Consultant – Calling all SDR’s!

How do they differ?


Ultimately – they are both sales positions.


Where being an SDR is focused on selling a product, recruitment is more focused on the relationship building aspect, where you will be communicating with candidates and clients to find the best outcome for both parties. The result of placing individuals into a position where they can have a lifelong career, whilst also helping your clients find the right hires to grow their business, is extremely rewarding.


Experience as an SDR is extremely transferable and widely desired within Recruitment firms as both environments are highly competitive, fast-paced, target orientated and require a strong work ethic.



What will the role entail?


On the candidate side:

  • writing job ad’s

  • screening candidates over the phone

  • shortlisting opportunities and prepping candidates for interviews

  • organising interviews and collecting feedback

  • offer management

  • ensuring successful completion of probation period.


On the client side:

  • outreach to new clients to obtain business

  • negotiating terms, signing contracts, being briefed on requirements for open positions

  • actively hiring and consulting clients at every stage.
